Salary: Starting £14.5ph, based on experience + tips

Reports To: General Manager & Senior Management Team
THE ROLE
As Head Bartender, you’ll be at the heart of Clydeside Containers’ drinks experience. Working closely with the senior management team, you’ll take ownership of everything bar-side—from shift leadership to cocktail quality control, team training and menu design.
This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone with passion, precision and the energy to make our bar the best on the Clyde.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Operations

Lead by example during service, ensuring smooth, efficient, high-quality drinks service.

Manage bar staff on shift, allocating stations, monitoring pace and morale.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, stock rotation and bar organisation.

Open and close the bar to professional standards, including cashing up and reporting.
Drinks Offering

Collaborate with the senior team on cocktail and drinks menu development.

Ensure consistent execution of cocktails and house serves, with a focus on speed and presentation.

Support stock control through ordering input, wastage reporting and smart batching.
Staff Training & Development

Lead bartender onboarding and cocktail training for all bar staff.

Run regular refresher sessions on specs, spirits, and service techniques.

Encourage a culture of learning, feedback, and progression within the team.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Previous experience in a senior bar role (e.g. Head Bartender, Bar Supervisor, Mixologist).

Excellent cocktail knowledge and confident with speed and volume service.

Comfortable leading a team during busy shifts and keeping morale high.

Creative flair and a genuine interest in drinks trends and product knowledge.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

An eye for quality, consistency and building a positive guest experience.
