Glasgow’s new riverside food and drink venue partners with global brewing leader ahead of Summer 2025 launch

Clydeside Containers, the much-anticipated street food and cultural destination opening on the banks of the River Clyde this summer, has announced Heineken UK as its exclusive draught beer and cider partner, following a competitive selection process.

The deal will see Heineken provide a carefully curated draught portfolio for the venue’s main bar, including Heineken, Heineken 0.0, Birra Moretti, Red Stripe, Inch’s Cider, and Beavertown’s Neck Oil IPA, alongside Guinness, also distributed by Heineken in the UK.

“This partnership was about more than just products—it’s about shared ambition,” said Dario Bernardi, Director of Clydeside Containers. “We were looking for a brewer who could offer reliability, sustainability, and a lineup that resonates with the modern drinker. Heineken brought all of that to the table, plus a willingness to collaborate as we build something truly unique on the Clyde. Their support is helping shape not just the drinks menu, but the experience.”

Opening in Summer 2025, Clydeside Containers will feature a lineup of top independent food vendors, rooftop views, live music, and a bar housed within repurposed shipping containers—designed to bring Glasgow’s community together in a bold new way.

Heineken UK, one of the country’s largest brewers, brings not only world-renowned brands but also a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability—values that align with Clydeside Containers’ ethos.

“We’re thrilled to be pouring at Clydeside Containers,” said Alexandra Taylor – Customer Development Director, On Trade Scotland – Heineken UK. “This is a standout venue—creative, independent, and built for the next generation of Glasgow hospitality. We’re proud to bring a draught range that offers both quality and choice, from our flagship lagers and cider to lower-alcohol and craft options. We look forward to working closely with the team as this exciting new chapter unfolds.”

Clydeside Containers is expected to open to the public in Summer 2025, adding a new destination to the city’s vibrant food and drink scene.
